Ele-Vated

Description

Ele-Vated is a spiced white tea blend tinted denim blue by delicate butterfly pea flowers. It is dedicated to the memory of Eleasha “Ele” Sledge, who departed this life September 23rd, 2020. She was loved by so many, but especially her beautiful family for which we are eternally grateful for their generosity in sharing her light with all of us. This blend in particular consists of ingredients that Ele and I had discussed prior to her passing, as something that could be a signature offering to her clients. She loved ginger, so I suggested a ginger-y chai; At the time her hair was a beautiful denim blue. I half-jokingly suggested that we make the tea blue, like her hair. She was surprised that tea could be blue, to which I replied, “tea can do and be so much more than people realize sis!” And, now, again, tea is doing just that. I want to honor her memory forever with this blend, as promised, but also by fulfilling the many goals that I shared with her in the hours and hours I spent in her chair.

Steep 2-3 teaspoons per 8oz. of water at 180° F for 3-5 minutes
